Auto Insurance Report
National Conference 2012

Registration is nearly closed for the 2012 Auto Insurance Report National Conference as we approach capacity!
We are holding a few places for insurance companies not yet represented at the meeting, and have started a waiting list for others, so it you wish to attend send your forms in today.
The meeting will be held April 29-May 1, 2012 at the St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach California. We are working hard to finalize topics and speakers, and so for the time being we have left up last year’s program and attendee roster so you can see the kind of topics we develop and the kind of people who attend.
We hope you will join us for our 15th annual event, which is shaping up to be an exciting and important meeting. Last year’s event sold out for the 14th consecutive year, and we believe this hard-working meeting rich with ideas, insights, and opportunities will sell out quickly again. As of February 1, we are nearly 75% full, so we expect to fill up by the end of the month.
Though the long, slow, economic recovery is top of mind for most business executives, in truth insurers have bigger issues to face. Among them are a series of once-in-a-generation demographic changes that are profoundly impacting how consumers will interact with their insurance companies.
Another life changer is the arrival, finally, of vehicle data on miles driven, speed, braking, etc. that is being used for underwriting and pricing of auto insurance. And there are some important evolutionary developments in marketing, claims, and regulation. Underlying all of these developments is a hard truth that auto insurers are just now trying to process: people are not crashing cars nearly as often as they once did, and this is resulting in a smaller auto insurance business.
All of this and more will be central to the program we are developing for our 2012 conference. We are thrilled to return to the St. Regis Monarch Beach, site of our 2006 and 2008 meetings. This five-diamond hotel is surrounded by pristine beaches, world class golf courses (including a great course right on the property), and stunning ocean views and sunsets. While ours is definitely a working meeting, we encourage you to think hard about bringing a guest or your family and taking advantage of this great resort and the other wonders of Southern California.
The St. Regis has easy access through Orange County Airport (SNA), Long Beach (LGB) or Los Angeles International (LAX). Our discounted room rates will be available for the weekend before and for few days after the conference. The best overview of the property can be found at http://www.stregismb.com/.
